Using an Electric Cordless Knife

One of my favorite dishes to make is breaded fish fillets with tartar sauce. It’s really good. The only part I don’t like doing is removing the bones of the fish. It can take forever and if you don’t get to remove every single one, you run the risk of a bone pricking your gum or getting stuck in your throat, either of which is not a good experience.

Also, you can hurt yourself during the course of removing the bone. It can really be quite frustrating. But now I have nothing to worry about since I found the right tool for the job – an electric cordless knife. It makes the entire process safe, easy, and fast. I will teach you the trick on how to do it, so you too won’t have a problem filleting anymore.

First, place the fish on the cutting board then just behind the front fins or gills angle the electric knife at about 30 to 45 degrees. Next, cut all the way until you hit the bone. Afterwards, you will slice all the way down to the tail by angling the blade slowly to that direction moving along the bones. Don’t cut all the way; leave a bit of skin near the tail that is about 1 to 2 inches wide. Flip the flesh over and using the same method with the bone and fillet, separate the fillet from the skin. You can use your other hand to pull the flesh as you do it. Now, you have a piece of fillet just like that. Repeat the process on the other side of the fish and you’re done. It’s that easy; you can be done within two minutes.

Now you know the trick. If you make dishes that include filleted fish, I believe having an electric cordless knife is a requisite. It’s the right instrument for the job. It definitely makes everything easier. No more frustrations; no more accidents. They say that if you’re going to do something, make sure you do it right. And by using an electric cordless knife you will surely be doing it right.

Moon Gardens

Shy of an extensive garden lights system, how can you enjoy a garden if you are always away during daylight hours? If you happen to be one of those diligent individuals who works all day, attends meetings all night, and doesn’t get home until well after dark?

Easy – simply design and plant a moon garden in your yard.

The moon garden – which is sometimes called the night garden or the evening garden – is the perfect outdoor retreat for people whose lives just don’t allow for leisure when the sun is out. It truly shines at night.

We all can see our friends and neighbors in their daytime gardens. They sit on the benches, stroll down the paths. It seems so peaceful and relaxing. And – bonus – night time gardens are much cooler!

You can certainly add garden lighting – solar-powered lights of low wattage work well, as do candles and lamps. Don’t leave open flames unattended, however.
