How Do Suction Pool Cleaners Work?

After a very long work week you now have to do your Saturday afternoon chores like mowing the lawn. You know it’s going to be hot out and all you can think about is jumping in your swimming pool when your done. You empty out your grass clippings and now the time has come to dive in your pool and completely cool off. You go right up to the edge and look down and see…that your pool is dirty.

Now you have another chore and that chore is called cleaning the swimming pool. Now you have to drag out the vacuum hoses and hook everything up and stand there moving around the vacuum while your still sweating in the hot hot sun.

This is the very reason why most inground swimming pool owner just go out and buy an automatic pool cleaner. There are so many to choose from but there is only three types that you have to know about. Robotic pool cleaners, pressure side pool cleaners and suction side pool cleaners.

Suction side pool cleaners are the most inexpensive pool cleaner and are simple to install if you already know how to set up your manual vacuum. You set it up the same exact way but instead of pushing it around the bottom of the pool yourself, this cleaner moves around all by itself.

The suction cleaner uses your filter system to suck up debris and dirt off the bottom of your pool and also uses the filter system to catch all that dirt. No need for a filter bag that you need to empty all the time. And while it’s running your pool is also being filtered.

So it’s definitely worth the investment and the thought of never having to set up a manual vacuum ever again is pretty good too.
